March 11th, 1963 - June 12th, 2022
Gregory Roy Gonzales, age 59, passed away peacefully in his home on June 12, 2022. He was born March 11, 1963 in Deming, NM to Santiago “Jimmy” Gonzales (Father), and Esther Moreno (Mother). After receiving his diploma from Del Norte High School, he relocated to Phoenix, AZ with his best friend Jeffrey Thomas. He attended the Universal Technical Institute and received a Certification in Auto and Diesel Mechanics. After graduating Greg relocated to Washington State, where he met the love of his life, Charlene Devine Gonzales. The two married in 1990 and had two children, Amanda Gonzales-Whyte and Christina Gonzalez. The family of four moved to New Mexico for 3 years in 2001, and returned to Snohomish County, WA for the last 17 years. Gregory’s family expanded and he became Pa to 2 granddaughters, Jaszlien Frisbie-Gonzales and Marceline Gonzalez, and 3 grandsons Damien Whyte, Ayden Gonzales-Whyte, and Oliver Gonzalez. Plus a father-in-law to his daughters husbands, Damian Whyte and Kevin Gonzalez.
Gregory was a skilled tradesman in the HVAC field, but was nothing short of a genius in many other fields. He was depended on, and trusted by many because of his knowledge. His work ethic was unbreakable, and his main purpose was to provide for his family. Greg had a tough exterior but below the surface he was incredibly loving and caring. He was especially that way with his family, and his animals. He opened his heart and home to countless people over his lifetime, and was a mentor to many.
