I met grace in 2015 at an art fair. Her words and scriputre reference spoke right to my heart and said every thing I needed to hear to be comforted in my time of need. She spoke to me about how she was led to "put the handle on crooked" on her mugs. I drank my morning coffee from the blue, crooked-handled mug for almost 10 years until May 4th, 2024 when my mug fell and broke. In a rush to replace it, I googled Grace Johnson Pottery and learned of her unexpected going home. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing but exalting in joy that she is Home. I am praying for her family and friends and their loss of having such an amazing heart around them. I am not sure I will ever find a mug so special as the one she created. Thank you for showing true love for Jesus' followers and for helping me see the Father really does see me and accept me even with my "crooked parts."

Aw! I'm so sad to hear this news! Grace was the best drama teacher in high school! I loved hearing her stories about her Lamb's Players days. I remember her talking about the importance of every part, not just the main players. She talked about the time she was in the background during a scene pretending to eat ice cream. She said she imagined that ice cream and could almost taste it. The audience ended up watching her instead of the main character because she was so enamored with her imaginary ice cream! She made us feel like we were all important and we were all special. I absolutely loved her. She will be missed.

Oh how my life has been enriched with Gracie. I treasure the season of her in it. Many years ago in the 1990’s, we were blessed to have her play the flute in our home’s Bible study worship, on Japatul in Alpine, CA. Bert, Gracie and her beautiful well behaved precious children would come each Sunday to study God’s Word, praise the Lord and fellowhip. Grace had a heart for God and loved His Word. It was true fellowhip to talk about Him to one another. I think of the verse Mark 12:30, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. When you love Someone that much, you love to talk about Him. This she did well. Her obedience to Him and His Word was evident and pleasing Him reflected in her life. She valued her role as a wife, devoted mother, homemaker, servant in them all. Her friendship was endearing and will always be treasured. I have Christ confidence that God said, Well done, my good and faithful servant, Grace. Make room Gracie, I’ll be coming one day to share Jesus’ lap with you. Thank you Gracie for being faithful and being an ambassador of Jesus Christ. Song lyics by: Jon Mohr “ Find Us Faithful “We're pilgrims on the journey Of the narrow road, And those who've gone before us Line the way. Cheering on the faithful, Encouraging the weary, Their lives a stirring testament To god's sustaining grace. O may all who come behind us Find us faithful, May the fire of our devotion Light their way. May the footprints that we leave, Lead them to believe, And the lives we live Inspire them to obey. O may all who come behind us Find us faithful. Surrounded by so great A cloud of witnesses, Let us run the race Not only for the prize, But as those who've gone before us. Let us leave to those behind us, The heritage of faithfulness Passed on thru godly lives. After all our hopes and dreams Have come and gone, And our children sift thru all We've left behind, May the clues that they discover, And the mem'ries they uncover, Become the light that leads them, To the road we each must find. Joe and I send our love and prayers to Bert and family.

Grace was such an inspiration to me. Her love for Jesus was very evident in her. I have no doubt she is celebrating with Jesus and I will be honored to join her again in worship some day!
