"Love like his doesn’t end. It just finds new places to land."

In Loving Memory of George

Welcome to this space dedicated to the life and legacy of George, my beloved partner of 17 unforgettable years. He was so much more than words could ever capture. George was my partner in crime, the heart behind countless rescued whiskers and purring souls, the fearless cat wrangler who always found a way to comfort the smallest creatures and the people who loved them.

He was a private chef extraordinaire,  a magician in the kitchen, creating meals that weren’t just food, but celebrations of life, laughter, and togetherness. Every dish he touched carried his love, his curiosity, his boldness, always seasoned with generosity and soul.

To know George was to be wrapped in a rare kind of warmth. He had a fierce heart, a brilliant mind, and a boundless compassion that made every person, every animal, and every moment feel extraordinary. He loved deeply, gave endlessly, and lived unapologetically, with wit, humor, and undeniable style.

Here, we gather to remember George, the loving partner, the amazing human, and the unforgettable force of nature. His story doesn’t end here. It continues in every heart he touched, every life he saved, and every memory we carry forward.

Forever missed, forever loved.

I once read that one should, “Never confuse people who are always around you with people who are always there for you.” I may not have always seen George, however, he was always there. George was a man of compassion and generosity. He was kindhearted, benevolent, and always tried to make one laugh. George was there for me when I contracted COVID at the start of the pandemic. I told him that I was eternally grateful for his friendship and selfless act of courage when he came to check in on me and transported me to the hospital one day, putting himself at risk. His deep love of animals is to be admired. At one point, I nicknamed him Dr. Doolittle because it seemed couldn’t help to see a defenseless, injured creature on the street. I will miss him, However, the memories will remain - and so you will always be in my thoughts, brother. On behalf of my wife and children, may you rest in peace. 💙 Charles

I am at loss for words and still I am caught off-guard by your departure. You've been a man with a heart of gold, always there for the people in their time of need. I'll always hold the memory of you close to my heart. My prayers and love goes out to every loved one and friend he's touched.

I am truly saddened by the loss of my Friend. I first met George at a friend's birthday party at 3308. However it was on my Birthday that we became friends. We ran into each other at Ida's. However, he didn't remember meeting me! He asked me what I did for a living and I told him that I worked for an eye doctor and also sold glasses. That was it for George ...he made an appointment and came in for an exam and got new glasses. He loved nice glasses!! 😎 He was a warm person...always giving of himself. He was a private person unless he trusted you...and if he did trust you enough to share something personal about himself...that meant you were special. He was a man who encouraged, protected, and always looked after those he cared about. He was funny, charismatic, intelligent and kind hearted. He was a teacher... always wanting to pass on the knowledge and lessons life has taught him. He loved his family...both human and animal. He had rescued a pigeon that was trapped in the grating of an awning. He and Paloma took care of him and they still have him. I started calling him and Paloma Dr and Mrs. Doolittle. Good old Charlie!! He always told me that he and Charlie had a love-hate relationship! He was a good man! We hadn't seen as much of each other in the past 2 years...occasionally running into each other. I was always happy to see him. Our lives get so busy that we lose track of time. I will miss you my friend! I will miss your smile, your silly laugh, and your tutelage. I will miss knowing that you were there if I ever needed you. Rest easy my Friend. Until we meet again! Maria💔

It’s hard to find the words to say goodbye to someone like George — someone so full of life, love, and light. George was the kind of person who left a mark on everyone he met. He had a heart full of care, always checking in, always thinking of others. Every week, he would call just to see how the family was doing — a simple act that meant so much. It was in those small, consistent moments that George showed the depth of his love. He adored his family — every cousin, every uncle and aunt — and he never missed a chance to make us laugh. His pranks, especially on his uncles from Montreal, were legendary. That playful spirit, that joy he carried — it made every gathering brighter. He brought fun wherever he went, and he reminded us not to take life too seriously. This loss is incredibly hard. It feels like there’s a space in our hearts that can’t be filled. But in that space, we carry the laughter he gave us, the calls he made, and the warmth he shared. George, thank you for the love, the laughter, and the care. We will hold you close in every memory, and your spirit will live on in the stories we tell, in the smiles you gave us, and in the love that still surrounds us because of you.

George, I still can’t believe you are no longer with us. Taken far too soon. You have had a major influence in my life. A large chunk of my life is filled with memories of us working, hanging, having fun and being mischievous. Sorry, have all my pics of us at home on a hard drive, on vacation now. If I can access this when I get home, I’ll upload some. I wish I can turn back time buddy. You will be missed, you were a good person, always trying to help your fellow man. Bye.

I am deeply saddened and filled with remorse over the passing of my dear cousin Georges. Georges...Georges.... Georges... Habibi. It’s so difficult to accept that someone so full of life and spirit is no longer with us. I regret the moments we didn’t get, but cherish the good times and the times I may have taken your presence for granted. Georges, you were more than just family — you were someone whose enjoyed life and your laughter would fill a room with joy. Family was important to you. I remember the good times we share together both in Montreal, Wikdwood and New York. Visiting New York will not be the same . I remember when visiting you would make it your priority to spend time together and take care of us. Eating at the the best resturants and just enjoying life. Your memory will not be forgotten but live in my heart, and I will carry this sorrow with love and gratitude for the good times we had together.
