Dinners, studying, games, movies, cards, kids, playgrounds, campgrounds, amusement parks, cheering, crying, army complaining, moving, praying, hugging, drinking, promoting, traveling, white water rafting, retiring, grandparenting…not enough time. A man’s man, Steelers fanatic, golfing guru, poker shark, competitor at anything, great friend, loving husband and father, and doting grandparent…not enough words. Eternity with Jesus. Amen.

I always admired how George liked everyone and included them in his golf and card tournaments. He was very special.

So many wonderful memories of George and the family - from nights of spades and chocolate chip cookies when our babies were little to vacations and visits as the kids got older. One of my favorite memories was on a trip to Hershey park watching Aaron and Prescott lead our families around while George and Reed walked in the back, talking and thinking back to when it was George and Reed leading us around Hershey Park with us in the back, with little ones in strollers. I love this memory because as military families there aren't too many friends that span such a valuable stretch of life and remain so important to us as your family has! We love you all!

George and my brother (Tim) & I grew up about 10 houses apart in Chambersburg . . . many good memories there in itself. George came with Tim to visit me at WP in 1984(?) and decided then and there that that's what he was going to do with the rest of his life. I still remember the day George, as a Plebe during his first summer, picked me out of a crowd walking in front of Eisenhower Barracks and ran up and saluted me.
