Celebrate the life of Gene Brito with the Brito Family.
Gene embodied the roles of both a father and son, pouring his heart into family and career.
He was a man of unwavering confidence, integrity, and relentless work ethic, equally adept as an athlete and an artist. While it's often said, it truly rings true—Gene was an extraordinary individual, a genuine hero to his sons. There are few good people like him in this world.
To those who knew him, he presented a quiet exterior, yet he captivated everyone with his vast knowledge spanning history, mechanics, art, geography, and geology. His passion for music was boundless!
Whenever he wasn't occupied with work, he found himself biking happily up Canyon Road. In his youth, those cycling adventures would take him all the way to the Santa Fe Ski basin.
Saturday mornings became a cherished ritual at the local farmer's market. Countless weekends were devoted to fishing trips in Pecos with his sons.
Numerous wonderful attributes can be credited to this cherished individual, yet words alone fall short of capturing his essence. Undoubtedly, his absence has etched an enduring footprint in the lives of his loved ones.

I didn't get a chance to get to know Gene more, but I know from all the things my son has told me he was a wonderful man. My son has been a friend to one of his sons since high school. my condolences to the family. And Gene, spread your wings up in heaven and be free of pain. The lord only takes his best angels early.

Gene was so caring and thoughtful. He knew I appreciated the veggies he brought from his garden, so he always had some for me whenever he stopped by. Just days before he died I saw a couple missed calls from his number, so I have been thinking about him especially fondly. I’m so sorry for your loss of such a kind generous man.

Gene was always a kind and decent man. I enjoyed our conversations and getting to know him over the past few years. He was smart and honest, hard working and talented. I hope his family finds comfort in his memory. I will sure miss him.
