November 15th, 1961 - November 12th, 2025
Gayle Denise Muse, lovingly known as “Cupid,” was born on November 15, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois (Cook County), to her mother Beatrice Diane McAbee. She gained her heavenly wings on November 12, 2025, just three days before her 64th birthday.
Gayle spent her early years in Chicago before moving to Cleveland, Ohio, at a young age through Job Corps, where she continued her education and began building the foundation for her future. She later worked for the State of Ohio and eventually found her calling as a Pharmaceutical Technician, a career she dedicated herself to until her retirement.
Gayle was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Beatrice Diane McAbee, and her two brothers, Joe and Albert B. Muse.
She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Gelena M. Alvis, who was the pride and joy of her life. Gayle is also survived by her loving grandchildren—Jada, Jamarie, and Darrell (DJ)—and her precious great-granddaughter, Journi Leaks, who brought her endless joy.
Gayle’s life was a reflection of love, faith, and generosity. She had a gift for cooking and found joy in feeding everyone around her. Her love for dancing brought laughter and light to every room she entered. Most of all, Gayle loved God deeply. She praised Him with her whole heart and shared daily prayers and affirmations with family and friends, reminding them of God’s goodness and of her unwavering love for them.
Gayle Denise Muse was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend—but above all, she was a beacon of warmth, faith, and light. Her spirit, her laughter, and her loving presence will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
