Loved Ones

Gary died from complications following a stoke. He passed peacefully at his home in Desoto, Texas with his wife Jeanette Davidson, son Michael Davidson, and daughter-in-law Julie-Davidson by his side. Born in York, Nebraska, Gary was a Texan “who got here as soon as he could.” He was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle “Missy” Davidson. Gary and Jeanette’s youngest son, Matthew Davidson and his wife Julie Davidson could not be with the family because of the Corona Virus and missed seeing Gary before his death. There are 9 grand children who will be missing Paco as they grow up.

Gary was a pleasure to talk with and do business with. The first phone call I received from him, I knew that he has been in the business awhile, and knew what he expected. We appreciated the work he would send our way. Gary is a contributor to our industry. He will be missed.

Besides golf, tasting adult beverages, parties and fancy dinners, Gary and I spent many hours trying to figure out how anything worked and trying to build anything we could imagine. Gary and Jeanette were the first people we met the day we first joined Thorntree (1991) and we spent that evening with them and the Carols. We have loved them both from that day on. Gary was one of my most favorite people I have ever met. Tough to think I won't be able to spend those special times with him again.

I only knew Gary professionally and I must echo the comments of others. He was always a gentleman and one of my favorite customers. It was always a pleasure to see him at my door. He will be missed.

Gary Davidson, "Mr. D" while short in height, was a mountain of a man; strong and dynamic in so many ways. I can remember the day we met in December 2005. By January 2006, we were friends. Gary became my big brother and one of my best friends. His family and Jeanette became my family. We worked together and started several companies together. We also lost companies together. But we did not give up. Gary always did things his way, he was creative and he was good at it. He was intuitive when it came to people and things. I was the designer and he was the engineer. He could fix anything. If it stopped working, he would make it work. Even Gary's last battle was on his terms. A fearless man with a big heart that just needed a rest. Mr. D has left a giant hole in countless hearts here on Earth. All the days of our lives, you are never to be forgotten. Lore Devra Levin
