July 13th, 1949 - January 7th, 2022
Fredrick “Fred” LoPiccolo passed away on January 7, 2022. He was born on July 13, 1949, to Alfonso and Doreen LoPiccolo in New York. Fred spent the first 40 years of his life in New York before moving to Florida with his family. In 1985, he met his beautiful wife Lorraine, and they married just a year later in 1986. Together, they had two daughters, Lillian and Alicia, and five grandchildren, Leanna, Reef, Evelynn, Benjamin, and Gianna. In 2012, Fred retired from his career at American Airlines and spent his time enjoying his family, In 2018, he and Lorraine moved to South Bend, IN, where they enjoyed retirement together. Fred was predeceased by his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his daughters, Lillian and Alicia; his grandchildren Leanna, Reef, Evelynn, Benjamin, and Gianna; and his sister Maria. Fred was known to bring joy and laughter to everyone he met, and no one could leave a conversation without being victim to his corny “dad jokes.” Anyone who knew him knew he had a big and generous heart and more than anything, he loved “the unlovable.” He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

I met you back in the early eighties and thought you were a wonderful friend. I was even invited to your Wedding and caught the bouquet. We only saw each other a couple of times after you moved. I moved to Florida and thought you were still here. I typed your name online to see if I could find out if our houses were close. My heart dropped when I saw the obituary. Wow, I’m sending prayers and love to his wonderful wife, daughters and family. I miss you Fred, and the jokes and the good conversations.

Dear Freddy, I was omitted from this obituary from your Family. To them I did not exist, which is fine I buried them long ago. You were survived by me too. Your Sister, Doreen LoPiccolo. Who, no matter what transpired through the years never turned her back on you in times of need. I only wish you to be at peace now.
