Frederick Gordon Beavis passed into eternity on February 25th, 2020 surrounded by his loved ones. He is deeply missed by all who knew him.

Fred was born on February 16th, 1947 in Berea, Ohio to Frederick R. Beavis and Gladys A (Stephenson) Beavis. During his life, he served in The United States Army in the N.I.K.E. Missile Air Defense. He also held a long career with United Telephone Service.

Frederick was a beloved father to his children: Gordon (wife- Ginna) Beavis of Titusville PA, Brian (wife-Lisa) Beavis of Shreve OH, Sean (wife- Jennifer) Beavis of Lexington OH, and Emily (husband- Noah) Baer of Orrville OH. Throughout their lives he provided strength and guidance, as well as humor. Fred was known for his incredible work ethic and doing things right. He put time into working on the family home, and building a wonderful life for his children. He loved listening to records; playing The Doobie Brothers and Chicago in the house, and instilled a deep love of music in all of his kids. Fred would help anyone at any time, fixing things and figuring out how things worked. He was known for his quick wit, and intelligence. His children believed that he could do anything.

Fred married the love of his life Cate on February 16th, 2000. They married on his birthday so that he would never forget an anniversary! His love for Cate was apparent in everything he did. They were always together, and true life partners. Fred and Cate enjoyed a home with their dogs in Spring Hope, NC. Fred was also a beloved stepfather to Jason, Julie, and Sara. He is missed beyond measure every day.

He leaves to cherish his memory: all who knew him. Frederick left behind a legacy in his wife and children that will be carried through to his many grandchildren. Although there are no services scheduled at this time, we look forward to the day when the family can gather together to honor his memory.
