Your presence we miss, your memories we treasure; loving you always, forgetting you never.

Frank Albert Bernasek passed away in his 80th year on June 29th, 2021 in Collingwood Ontario. His wishes to pass away peacefully at home with his family were fulfilled. Frank was enjoying a view of the trees in the backyard and birds chirping with Anita, Joyce & JoAnna by his side when he passed.

Frank was born in the Bronx New York on March 30,1941. Son of Frank (d 1998) and Josephine (d 1992).

He is forever cherished by his Wife, Anita; 5 Children: Joyce (Michael), Frank Jr. (Lisa), Mark, B.J. (Chantale) and JoAnna (Petrus); and 7 Grandchildren: Mei Mei, Maggie, Maddie, Michael, Ryelle, Emmett and Quinton. Lovingly remembered by his sister Barbara Jacapraro, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews and their children. Friends from both Canada and the USA are left with many fond memories of him to hold dear. Reuniting in Heaven with many family members (Bernasek, Chrenko & Callingham) and friends who have gone before him.

Frank graduated as a Math Major from Marist College in New York, which brought him into a career at the leading edge of computer technology. He worked for ADP in both New York and Toronto. When he settled in Canada, he created his company (Accent Services) and used his formidable technology expertise to assist almost every brokerage and bank with improving their systems. 10 years into retirement, he was still our family 'go to' for all computer help.

Frank loved spending time with family and was a very proud Dad and Grampa. Enjoying large (or small) family gatherings, vacations, and family milestones with the ones he loved always brought a big smile to his face.

Frank enjoyed traveling and exploring new places with his wife, Anita. They were fortunate enough to be able to see so many amazing places around the world in his lifetime. Some of his favorites included The Panama Canal, Grand Canyon, Pearl Harbor, Alcatraz, Mt Rushmore, Italy, Cuba, Maui and most of Mexico & The Caribbean.

Frank loved music from such a variety of artists, from The Four Tops to Enya, and The Beach Boys to Jay & The Americans. He especially enjoyed live performances, and was lucky enough to be able to see Neil Diamond, The Gypsy Kings, and Jesse Cook in person. Frank was also famous for his love of hilarious sit-coms. It was always great to hear his signature laugh; anyone in hearing range knew when he was watching his favourites, Seinfeld and Bob Newhart.

Frank fought hard during his battle with lung cancer and lived this past year with minimal suffering; his passing was peaceful, and his fighting spirit was evident to the very end. Anyone who met him along the way, could attest to the fact that he continued looking great for such a sick man.

A special thank you to all of the medical professionals & Community Care personel who helped to make this journey as easy as possible for both Frank and the family.

In remberence of Frank's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Georgian Triangle. (links can be found in About section of Frank's profile page for your convenience).

Due to Covid restrictions, there will be a private family gathering for Frank's Celebration of Life.

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure - and Frank is truly a treasure to all of us.
