Francis Chin

Francis was a warm hearted, generous soul who loved to make people laugh. He was an ardent soccer fan and he used to support Manchester United growing up. He would watch live soccer matches on TV no matter what time of the day. He was a very good sport and did not hesitate to put on a costume and make a comic of himself to entertain others. He generously donated to charities and continued to do do so even after retirement.

In his last few years, he took it upon himself to be a full time carer for our mum and he did it willingly and lovingly. He studied in La Salle School, Klang where he excelled at soccer and table-tennis, winning several honours for his school. Francis graduated from Monash University, Melbourne in 1986.

After an initial stint in the hospitality space, Francis joined the ERP industry and spent 15 years in this field during which time he moved to Singapore and travelled widely – Japan, Australia, USA, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Nigeria among others. He also worked in Australia for a short stint.

He made many friends along the way and with their help, we would like to create a lasting tribute to our brother in this online memorial where everyone who was touched by this special soul can share their stories, pictures and memories. Sincerely, CHIN family
