Frances Elizabeth VanDyke

Frances Elizabeth Teall VanDyke, 72, of Irons Michigan, passed away peacefully at Munson Hospice House on March 9th, 2022 after battling Alzheimers. Frances (Fran, Francie) was born in Holland Michigan to Alan Teall and Frances Teall. She shared her home with her parents and siblings Robert, Gary and Marilyn Teall. She married her high school sweetheart, James VanDyke and was devoted to him for 54 years of marriage. Frances worked as a Dental Assistant, a Social Worker and a Homemaker. She spent a lifetime enjoying the outdoors, animals, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family. Frances and James moved from Holland to Wellston Michigan where they owned and operated Pine Lake Villa Resort for many years, before finding their final retirement home in Irons Michigan. It was in this home that Frances was cared for by her husband James until her final days. Frances is survived by her husband James, her children Matthew, Jason, Meredith, and Daniel. She is also survived by her brother Gary and her 7 grandchildren. Frances was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. The family will be having a memorial service followed by a lunch at United Methodist Church 57 West 10th St. Holland Michigan 49434 on May 28th, 2022 at 11:00 am.
