Faye A Hall
June 21st, 1943 - March 4th, 2021
June 21st, 1943 - March 4th, 2021
Faye Anstis (Slaney) Hall was born on June 21, 1943 in Natick, Massachusetts to Herbert and Hildred (Burtt) Slaney and died March 4, 2021 in Ocoee, Florida.
Faye is survived by 5 children along with their spouses: Vallei and Leslie Ramey, Christopher and Susan Hall, Kevin and Kathie Hall, Terry and Loretta Hall, and Kali and Erick Pino. In addition, she had 5 grandchildren: Johnathan (Amber) Ramey, Hailey Pino, Emieona Hall, Amora Hall, and Honesty Hall. She was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of her new grandson Izaak Pino due in June 2021.
Faye is preceded in death by her husband Harry, her parents and her brother Tommy.
Faye’s parents Herb and Hildred were baptized as Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1947 and then raised both Tommy and Faye to love and serve Jehovah. Faye made the personal decision to dedicate her life to Jehovah and was baptized in 1958 at the International Convention held at Yankee Stadium and the Polo Grounds. When Tommy was killed in a tragic accident in 1959 at 18 years of age, it was her strong belief in the resurrection hope that enabled Faye to endure the grief and pain of his loss. She maintained faith in that hope her entire life.
On September 22, 1962, she married Harry Theodore Hall, Jr. Harry and Faye were blessed to see all 5 of their children symbolize the dedication of their lives to Jehovah by water baptism, as well as 3 of their grandchildren. In 1978, Harry and Faye moved their family from Franklin, Massachusetts to Flagler Beach, Florida and attended the congregation in Bunnell.
Faye was a hard worker. She worked for health care facilities in the Boston area, and after moving to Florida, Harry and Faye had their own business repairing gasoline pump nozzles. She was a very successful secretary for Kelly Services for many years. She also worked for several large trucking companies and even for several years as a newspaper carrier.
Faye loved her family and spending time with them. She was famous for her turkey dinner with all the fixings and her chocolate chip cookies. She always insisted on making sure that there were leftovers to go home with everyone! She loved sharing her recipes. She also loved to sew and happily did alterations for her family and friends.
One thing everyone knew about Faye: she loved to sing. And people enjoyed hearing her sing. She loved playing Kingdom songs on the piano at gatherings so all could join in singing together. She had the privilege of playing the piano at the Kingdom Hall for the congregation to sing along with, long before the days of cassette tapes, CDs and MP3s.
Second only to her love of Jehovah and her family was Faye’s love of animals. When her children were young, one of Faye’s favorite things to do was to host “Horse Parties” and invite the children - and adults - from the congregation to come and ride the family’s horses.
Later in life, Faye had the pleasure to live next door to Vallei and Les so that she could have her independence and yet remain close for the times she needed assistance. Thus, she was able to enjoy an abundance of animal life. She rescued and took in stray cats, dogs, and even a baby opossum received Faye’s love and help. She enjoyed having and feeding chickens, ducks, rabbits and horses in her backyard. She especially adored her beloved donkey Eeyore. This wonderful blessing had its challenges too. There were times she would go out to feed the animals and her wheelchair would get stuck in the mud. Les was a hero on many such occasions.
Even into her 60’s, Faye enjoyed visiting the local theme parks and going on roller coasters. She enjoyed visiting Alexander Springs and going to the beach. She enjoyed the sweet smell of orange blossoms every year in early spring. She enjoyed just floating in the pool with her family and being outside soaking in Jehovah’s creation.
Faye was known as a generous and wonderful person. She loved giving gifts. One sister was delighted when Faye gave her a red silk embroidered coin purse with “some of the most beautiful opal and pearl earrings” in it. And she never left out the kids; they enjoyed “rides” on her wheelchair.
Faye was always preaching to whomever she could. She was happy to be an auxiliary pioneer when she was able. Once, when someone accidentally rear ended her car on the way to a book study, she started a Bible study with the driver! As Faye’s health declined she moved to a skilled nursing facility where she continued to very happily preach to everyone she could. The nursing facility was now her new home and her new territory. When eating lunch and dinner, Faye was designated to say a prayer for her fellow residents at the table. Because of Faye’s witnessing to one of her roommates, her roommate attended one of the meetings at the local Kingdom Hall! What a witness! She often requested literature so she could share it with the nursing staff and residents. Because of Faye’s zeal for Jehovah she arranged with the activities director for Terry to give a public talk at the nursing facility. Over a dozen residents attended, mostly those who were friends with and knew Faye. The activities director herself attended. She requested and was given a Bible.
More than anything, Faye loved Jehovah and all his creation, and wanted everyone to do the same. We will see her soon when she opens her eyes to a paradise here on earth where she will once again enjoy life with all his creations, forever.

To the Hall family, We are truly sorry for your loss. Words can not truly support the sadness and pain you all feel at this moment. Faye treated us with loving kindness. We are truly appreciative of the wonderful moments that we spent with Faye. Hearing her sing and her really good comments were always encouraging. May Jehovah continue to be a source of comfort and strength for your beautiful family. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I grew up with Faye's family, Vallei's been my best friend forever. Faye always treated me like a member of the family. Two of my fondest memories : when Faye and my dad got in an argument when we all went camping. Faye wanted all of us kids and her to ride on the tent trailer on the little dirt road. Of course she won. It was so funny. Also, our trip to Disney. Faye sat and sang with the Tiki birds for hours. It was so cute! I know that the thing Faye wants more than anything is to open her eyes and see her whole family in paradise. I can just see her there singing with her mom and dad
