Hello, hello! Please wear your smiles today...cuz THIS is a CELEBRATION! Coincidentally Eric and I had spoken about this exact scenario some time back and each of us agreed we'd like a HAPPY CELEBRATORY send off. So wear your smiles beautiful people. We met back in 2002 at Ogilvy. However our relationship only started to develop after we were set up (by a mutual friend... thanks Josie) for an Injera lunch date, which was one of his favourite meals back in the day. And the rest, as they say is history. We were blessed with Alexis and Andrew... amazing kids by the way. The kiddos totally loved and adored him and he was extremely kind, patient and supportive towards them as well as all those around him... especially in times of need. Bear with me. If you know Ero, the guy could talk...for days! He loved to read. Preferably fiction. I am the total opposite... and he was sweet enough to sometimes summarise the novels for me. He was so amazing at telling the stories, my mind would drift into the world he spoke of. He wasn't much of a dancer, but when challenged to a breakdance dare...he'd jump right into it and show off his skills. Which reminds me of the impromptu breakdance competition back in 2011. He went quite a number of rounds...but he was edged out by none other than David Muriithi. The drama was the next day. Poor man could barely move anything. I had to apply deep heat, bandages and band aids, to relieve all the pain. And it dawned on him that he is no longer the cracking teenager he used to be. He loved his music. Mostly 90's and Rock music.... and these would be played extremely LOUD!! Here's an excerpt from Black Parade by My Chemical Romance... a full Album CD I got him from Junction .... remember...when we had CD stores, LOL! "Do or die, you'll never make me Because the world will never take my heart Go and try, you'll never break me We want it all, we wanna play this part I won't explain or say I'm sorry I'm unashamed, I'm gonna show my scars Give a cheer for all the broken Listen here, because it's who we are I'm just a man, I'm not a hero Just a boy, who had to say this poem I'm just a man, I'm not a hero I don't care We'll carry on" Already missing you, your voice, your signature laugh, your love! Love you and see you on the flip side!!!

Eric, I’ve known you all my life. From before we were born! We’ve been side-by-side, back-to-back forever. You’ve always been part of my identity, my soul, my spirit. We’ve created the most amazing, crazy memorable moments together. We generated humour, infamy, creativity and the bravest ad campaigns seen in Kenya. You were also my CEO, my partner, co-conspirator, collaborator, the Senior Twin. As I saw you take your last breath, I’ll always remember the look in your eye and the message you sent me via our secret ‘twinsync’ mental channel : ‘Be happy, be free, be you.’ I’ll never be the same, now that you’re gone. Your family and friends will always look at my face and remember you. I’ll always be a reminder of what Eric stood for. I’ll uphold the Muema values in your honour. Retire and rest well, you General, Guru of Creativity. My world has shattered. I love you. Half of me is gone. I salute you, Ero the Hero.
