Emma Martinez, 81, of Ranchos de Taos passed away on September 18, 2008. She is preceded in death by husband, Liberato Martinez, brothers, Victor Chavez, Clemaco Chavez, Tobias Chavez, and Loy Chavez. She is survived by children, Lee Martinez, Loretta Mondragon (Anthony), Albert Martinez (Barbara), grandchildren, Daniel, Sheree (Jason), Antonio (Crystal), Meredith (James) and 7 great grandchildren, brother, Enrique Henry (Donna) and sister-in-law, Ida Chavez. Rosary was recited on September 22, 2008. Funeral mass was held on September 23, 2008. Both services were held at San Francisco de Asis Church. Interment followed at the Llano Quemado Cemetery.

Emma was a wonderful woman. She played a great role in our lives. She was like a grandmother to my girls. She now is resting and watching all the children on earth. I am sorry for your loss.
