I met Betty when we both worked for the AEO group of Conoco. She was so much more than a dear friend. She was my sister. Not by birth. We chose each other. I will love and miss her for the rest of my life. Going to visit Betty and Don in Yachats was like going on a spiritual retreat. It is sad to know we will not be doing that again. My sincerest condolences to Don, Stephanie and Elizabeth, and the rest of her family. You are all in my prayers.

Betty was a wonderfully kind and thoughtful work colleague for several years at Conoco in Houston. I appreciated her knowledgeable guidance and always benefited from her rich experience. We had many enjoyable conversations during our projects. She was a lovely and special person.

Betty and I worked together at Conoco for many years in both the Woodlands and Houston. I am so sorry to hear that she has left us. Betty was such a calm, competent person amid the demands handled by our group. She and I had many talks over the years about kids and family, topics dear to both our hearts.. I’ve heard Betty’s voice in my head many times as I’ve tackled new projects, with the very good advice she gave me back in our working days. I once asked what the easiest way was to set up a new project I had and she answered “the way you know how”. That advice has served me well over the years. You are fondly remembered, Betty.

My dear Betty! We went all through college together, taking many of the same classes in the Geographic Dept at Portland State. She became a good friend and the best study-partner i ever had. We were the curve :) graduating together in 2004 - both with high honors. I moved to Alaska and our friendship continued with my visits to Oregon, phone calls and emails. Miss Betty came to visit me at my homestead in Alaska with her grand daughter, and we shared some adventure, good meals and laughter. She holds a special place in my heart 💜 and knowing her made me a better human. My condolences to Don (thank you for calling 🙏) and her family. She will be missed. With love, Mindy Juliana

I was Betty’s Deacon for a few years and was always tickled by her smiles and excitement when greeting people. She made everyone happy. I got to see her a few weeks before her transition when she came to the choir concert rehearsal and sang every single sing with us. She was pure delight and love. She will be very much missed!!
