Elijah John Larson, 26, of Ranchos de Taos passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father, Shaun Larson and grandmother, Rose O’Brien. He is survived by his mother, Qia Melendez, sisters, Kiana Melendez and Asia Rivera, brother, Ashir Lopez, grandparents, Sue Benzinger, Martin Melendez and Kim Larson, uncles, Ryan Larson, Bernie and RJ Bast, aunts, Nika Melendez, Laura Benzinger, Katie and Kayla Bast, many cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Services will be held on Saturday August 10, 2024, at 10 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Qia, I happened to go on the Taos News website and saw Elijah’s face. I thought to myself that he looked so familiar. I read about him and was heartbroken to realize that he was your son. I remember him and your younger children. I remember how much you always showed how much you love being a mother and your children. I can’t even imagine the depths of sorrow you are experiencing. I wish I could wrap you in my arms and hug you. I know you are beyond devastated. I will hold you and your family in my heart. Words can’t take away the pain and loss.

Qia. My heart broke on the day that you informed me about Elijah's accident, and then passing away. You are a very wonderful friend to me. And thank Go for bringing you & your beautiful family into my life. I remember when I first laid eyes and Elijah when he came to be with you I thought to myself what a beautiful boy ! His wavy hair and The Bluest Eyes I ever saw! I will miss Elijah. He was always kind and loving to me...I'm so sorry my friend"❤️
