March 25th, 1957 - April 18th, 2026
March 25th, 1957 - April 18th, 2026
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. (Relevations 14:13)
Egon Fagon “Desmond” was born on March 25, 1957 in St. Elizabeth to Phyllis and Rueben Fagon. From an early age, he displayed qualities of determination, intelligence and humour that would continue to define his life and character.
He received his education at Santa Cruz All Age & Marie Cole Memorial Schools and later pursued a career in Psychiatric Nursing and Education.
Desmond was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who deeply valued family and relationships. He enjoyed hobbies such as reading, gardening, cricket & lawn tennis watching, church activities, mentoring and cooking and was known for his discussions on current affairs, roaring singing and sleeping while hearing everything you said.
Throughout his life, he touched many hearts with his generosity, wisdom, humour, faith and leadership. Whether through his work, community involvement, or personal relationships, he made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He accepted Christ at 18 years old and worshipped at Waterloo Apostolic Church and later Refuge Apostolic Temple, where he faithfully served as Elder for many years.
On April 18, 2026, Desmond departed this life surrounded by loved ones. Though he is no longer with us physically, his memories, teachings, and love will forever remain in our hearts.
He leaves to mourn and celebrate his life: Wife (Arlene), Daughters (Daniela & Debra), Grandson (Zahir), Brothers (Ken, Hal, Leo, Keith), Sisters (Barbara & Gloria), nieces and nephews.
