I was around 10 year old when I first knew him. He was very generous with money for people around him. He had keen interest in music. Apart from playing organ in different churches, he spent a lot on money and effort in collecting church music sheets. He also very eager to teach music to young people. He liked good food and used to tell us which hotel in which city served good food. He was excellent in his work and became an authority. He became the Principal of the training college of AGs office in Chennai. He was fondly remembered by his colleagues and he too was fond of speaking to them even after retirement. When my sister Janet become a wheelchair person, he took care of her needs single-handedly for awhile. When he was active used to keep his house very clean and well fumigated to prevent mosquitoes. He was addicted to Vicks. He had a good command over English language and he used to help me with my applications and letters. Even my sister who was an English professor, used to take his help in editing her writing work. He enjoyed very sharp memory till the end. He used to remember events with date and day and time. He had a good knowledge of the Word and used to take Bible study for the family for awhile. We and many others will miss him very much.

Perippa was an affectionate, generous , Godly and a person with a sense of humour. I think perippa was always fond of me when I grew up. When we were living in Salem we would love his audit visits because he would give us presents and take us out for dinners. He would give quick mathematical quizzes and narrate humorous stories that would make us laugh. To a very special person in my life- Perippa, I will miss you You are a legend With your music And Bible knowledge Your wits and stories You always entertained us Thank you for taking me out To your favourite restaurants Thank you for letting me stay In your house Thank you for being always nice to us Sorry that we didn’t spend enough time with you in the last days May be you missed perimma May be you missed your dear son May be you felt lonely and left out Corona was cruel to you , And May be God saw that and said to you “ Enough my son. Come and have rest in me. I have a perfect place for you to come and rest with your loved ones in my house. You have run your race and it’s time to come home”. Perippa, we will also finish what God has destined for us in this world and enter into his kingdom one day. Till then “ Bye”.

Dearest Edwin Mama, God saw that you were getting tired, Therefore, a cure was not to be. He put His arms around you And whispered, “Come with Me.” With tearful eyes, we watched you go, And saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands came to rest. God broke our hearts, yet proved to us That YOU had earned your eternal rest. Rest In Peace Eternal, Mama Cecil K. Dewars Nephew
