Edward Touwidjaja

Edward Towidjaja (Touw Tjoen Kioe), 89, a loving husband, father and grandfather went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 4th, 2020. His final days were spent surrounded by family and he passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ietje Rosjiarni; his two daughters Linda Welch and her husband Bill and Josephine Rusli with her husband Freddy; four grandchildren (Preston, Andrew, Dylan, and Jasmine). Born July 13, 1930, he was born and raised in Pekalongan, Indonesia, the son of Sardjono Touwidjaja and Listiawati Padmasari. He was born in a big family as the 5th son with 6 sisters and 3 brothers. He graduated from the University of Diponegoro in Semarang, then met his wife in Jakarta. He and Ietje were married on April 11, 1975 and were blessed with 2 daughters. Edward was a calm, patient, and kind man of few words. As a loving husband and father, he spent most of his time with his family and extended family. He loved being surrounded by his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzle, and board games with them. He thought them to take pleasure from simple things in life and that life was something to be enjoyed and not stressed about. He accepted Christ in Dec 22, 1997 when both his daughters came back to visit after studying abroad in the US and continued his walk with the Lord for the rest of his life. Private memorial service has been held at his residence.
