John 17:4- I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

The life of Edward Kariuki Njuguna was a quiet testament to faith, excellence, gentleness of spirit, and unwavering devotion to family and service. Born in 1980, Edward grew up deeply loved as a son and brother, forming strong and enduring bonds with his parents and siblings. From his earliest years, he carried a calm strength, a thoughtful nature, and a determination that would shape every path he walked.

Edward carried a natural brilliance that he nurtured with dedication and humility. He excelled academically, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics before advancing into postgraduate studies, where he further distinguished himself with a Master’s degree in Investment and Finance and professional certification in financial analysis. These achievements reflected not only intelligence, but commitment, resilience, and a desire to contribute meaningfully to his field.

His professional journey was marked by excellence, integrity, and determination. Edward worked with diligence and consistency, rising into impactful leadership roles in the financial services industry. He approached work not as a pursuit of status, but as a calling to serve with competence, humility, and responsibility. Colleagues remember him as principled, steady, and deeply reliable, a man whose presence inspired respect and trust.

Above all accomplishments, Edward’s heart belonged first to God and to his family. A devout Christian from infancy, his faith was not a formality but a lived conviction. He served the Church faithfully over the years, actively participating in parish life and leadership. He believed in living out his faith through service, integrity, prayer, and commitment to community. His spiritual grounding shaped how he loved, how he worked, and how he led his life.

Edward was also a loving husband and devoted father. He shared a beautiful love story with his wife, Naomi, with whom he built a life anchored in love, faith, and partnership. Together they were blessed with four children, who were the joy of his heart. Edward was deeply present as a father; gentle, attentive, protective, and endlessly caring. His home was his pride, his greatest ministry, and his deepest joy. His family will forever remember a man who gave himself fully, who worked tirelessly for their wellbeing, and who covered them in love, wisdom, and prayer. Those who knew him remember his humour, calm presence, thoughtful counsel, and a heart that always made room for others.

Even in his final days, he remained steadfast. He met that season with courage, resilience, and unshaken trust in God’s goodness. He did not lose hope, he did not lose strength, and he did not lose faith. He finished his race honourably and faithfully, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, strength, and unwavering belief that continues to inspire all who loved him.

Edward did not live loudly, yet his impact was profound. His life remains a blessing to his family, his church, his colleagues, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

We celebrate a life well lived, a heart well given, and a soul now at peace in the loving presence of God, his father.

Rest well, Eddie. Your light continues to shine.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

Devastated to hear of the passing on of Edward. Our paths crossed in high school, he was my senior and we also played rugby together on the school team. Our paths crossed again while he was working at Bloomberg and Refinitiv later LSEG. Edward was always willing to support and offer counsel. I will miss our intearctions. My thoughts and prayers go to his wife and children, and the colleagues who we interacted with together on many an occasion. Fare thee well my friend, Ed.

Dear Edward, I am heartbroken to learn that you are gone. It feels unreal and deeply unfair. You were such a kind, thoughtful, and gentle person, and you carried yourself with a quiet grace that made every space feel lighter. You treated everyone with respect and always found a way to make people feel seen and valued. Working alongside you was a privilege, and getting to call you a friend was an even greater one. Thank you for helping me through some of the darkest days of February 2019. It truly felt like a brotherhood with you, Mark, and me. I keep thinking about the conversations we shared, your understated humour, and the calm strength you brought into those strange, difficult moments. I am devastated that you are no longer here. The loss is immeasurable. I hope you knew how deeply you were appreciated and how many lives you touched. I pray that your beautiful soul rests in perfect peace, and that your family finds comfort, strength, and moments of joy even in this unimaginable grief. May they carry forward your warmth and your light. Thank you for being who you were. You will never be forgotten.

You were never the loudest in the room, but you didn’t need to be. Your presence was steady, thoughtful, and always kind. You were the one who listened more than you spoke, offered help before it was asked for, and showed up when it mattered most. You didn’t go looking for recognition — but everyone noticed your quiet strength. It came through in the way you supported others, Fare thee well Edward. You will be truly missed.

Edward was my favorite LSEG Account Manager. A thorough professional and a genuinely nice human being. I am shocked as to what has happened and would like to express my deepest condolences with his family, friends and colleagues.

Eddie, You came into our lives as a friend of my husband. You were the chair of our wedding committee. Your meticulous planning and guidance ensured us of a great day. You paid attention to the smallest of details, asked the hardest of questions, put everyone involved in the planning to task, dedicated time and resources to us. I remember evening meetings where you would urge us to keep time as Naomi was on night duty and the kids needed you. You made a lasting impression on our friends and relatives. They remember you as soft spoken and humble. They are absolutely right. You led with a quiet servitude, inspired teamwork. You were the voice of reason in every situation. Heaven as gained a gem. Henry is broken. He is bereft. We all are. As we face the days ahead without you, we pray for the repose of your soul. We continue to pray for peace in your household. May God set camp in your home and never leave. We pray for His guidance, protection and providence always. Rest well Eddie. Rest with the angels.
