To the Edward G. Grant Jr. Family ~ I Rose M. Tafoya (94yrs) acknowledge Edwards passing and will miss him. We were neighbors in Los Angeles on Boylston Street in the 40's. Our parents were life long friends, especially my father Enrique A. Tafoya and Eduardo Grant Sr. I read about his passing today in my Taos NewsPaper September 17, 2019 If you'd like to contact me please do. Transcribed by my daughter Rita Huerto

I met Eddie years ago in Los Angeles when he was the President of the Northern New Mexico Club. Through him, I met all the people who made me feel at home even though we all lived in a different state. We all moved back to New Mexico, and I'd run into him and Bessie, at places like the Albuquerque Airport and in Taos. No matter where I met him, he always made me feel at home. Godspeed, Eddie Grant! You left the world a better place.

We thank Eddie for always providing a warm welcome and smile to all of our Shared Table community! He provided radical hospitality to each and every person.

Eddie loved everything in which he was involved: working summers at the Presbyterian Camp Loma Verde, serving as a volunteer at Shared Table, being involved and dedicated to his church, the Ranchos Presbyterian, being involved public service projects with Kiwanis club of Taos and serving on the board of the Taos Soil and Water Conservation District. He had a deep respect for water and land, and all that God created. He was a big heart in a 6’2” frame and loved everyone he met. People were immediately attracted to his love and kindness., always giving and sharing a silly story or joke. He was one of my dad’s best friends. They were like little kids laughing and playing jokes on each other and others, always “getting into a little trouble”, but never anything too serious. I know he is with his Bessie and looking for trouble with my dad, who is probably ready to have some fun! We love and miss you, Eddie. Thank you for making us so happy for so many years!
