Ed and Nancy started as students around 1984 and became endeared friends. Personable and thoughtful and a great dog lover, I'm grateful to have been blessed with knowing Ed. So sorry for your loss Nancy

Brian and I will always remember Ed as one of the kindest people we ever met when we were new to Flat-Coats many years ago. We met at a hunt test in WI. We were new to Flat-Coats and to hunt tests. Ed came over, introduced himself, and became an instant friend. He made us feel so welcome, back when hardly any Flat-Coats were running in the field. He supported us, talked us up to his buddies, and cheered us on. He gave Brian confidence to keep going when he very much needed it. He introduced us to some other Flat-Coat people, and helped us become more accepted. Ed was truly someone that helped us get a "paw print" in the door among a somewhat closed group. He was the icebreaker, with his friendly smile. We will be always grateful to Ed for helping us in the beginning, and reaching out to us. He made true friends out of timid newcomers-all because his heart was warm & welcoming and willing to include us. I will always smile when I think of Ed.

Mathew 24:40 Two men will be working together in the fields and one will be taken, the other left. Ed's presence among us will be missed. May he walk with God.

I met Ed on a Veterans Web Page 12 - 15 years ago (before he moved to West Bend). We were not in the military together , he was Army and I was Navy .I always looked forward to his emails and Christmas Cards from him and Nancy . The last year or two Nancy took over the emailing part and would read my emails to Ed and email me back his comments . Now i look forward to continued emails from Nancy .God Bless You and Your Familys .Very respectfully,Dan

It is Easter and every year Ed would make an ugly egg. It was a tradition with him.
