Edna Georgina DeWitt (Perrault) - May 13, 1941 - November 7, 2020

No longer by our side, forever in our hearts

On November 7th, 2020 our Mom went home to be with Jesus.  She was pre-deceased by her husband Lorren, her step-son Randy and her son in law Jim New.  She leaves behind her daughter Kim (Jim) New, her son Ward (Kim) Clark and her step-daughters Sandra (Kjeld) Rasmussen, Terry (Kevin) Cluette, Debbie (Tony) Stellrecht along with many grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews, brothers and friends.

Our Mom loved people and their stories of life! She enjoyed being useful to others by baking, cooking, babysitting or having a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. Mom did not live an extravagant life by any means in the eyes of the world but her life was filled with extravagant relationships built with family and friends. She was so richly blessed by the many friends she had at Alberta Beach who very graciously filled our shoes by watching out for her when we were not able to because we lived so far away. She appreciated the small things in life and loved sharing life with others. We miss her dearly and cherish every memory embedded on our hearts and minds of life lived with our Mom.

The Family is now able to have a time of celebration of her life for family and friends which will be as follows:

                                                      Ecclesiates 3:1-8

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the Heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weep and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

I've known Edna since she was just 13 years old. Being an only child I always called her my sister not my sister-in-law. We were the two Edna's. We had so many great times and memories together over the years. I will miss our phone calls back and forth when the Oilers were playing hockey. I love you sis. ❤

Edna was my second mom, I looked forward to our visits every time I drove out to the lake. First thing we would do , Caleb my son and I, is walk over and knock on her door. She would always drop everything and sit with us. We shared so many laughs, she listened to my problems and always had a encouraging word. She would tell me about her children and grandchildren, their changes and achievements, and her own ups and downs. She was a great friend to me and to all who knew her. I miss her so much.

My Aunty Edna was also my godmother and loved very much by all of our family. She always had an open door to her house and to her ear. She is sadly missed by all who knew what a wonderful person she was.
