Dwight dedicated his life to supporting people to realize their true selves, he experienced union and relationship with each and every one that he came in contact with. In lieu of flowers or gifts we decided to set up a memorial fund with the funds we raise here to be used to empower and support people and organizations aligned to Dwight's values around building community, accelerated learning and education and supporting equity and access to equal opportunities for all, but especially youth. You can also donate to a charity of your choice in his name. -- [POST DATE] July 29, 2020 Dwight's birthday is a time of celebration and gratitude for the daily blessings that he and each and every one of you have made to our family. We thank you for all the memories that have made our lives rich and abundant and that have given us great joy and a sense of accomplishment and contribution. On July 22nd, Dwight shared his last breath with Merle and Jessica by his side, breathing together as one breath. He was surrounded by family, and earlier that evening, we FaceTimed with the whole family. This has been a significant and trying year for the family. While formal memorial services will be delayed until the family can all be together in Hawaii again, we will be making arrangements to gather virtually for a celebration of life in the next few weeks. The stories and tributes have been the greatest gift the family has received in the past few weeks.
