I met Alberto 18 years ago when my son Kenny married his daughter Nancy. In the ensuing years I've been in Alberto's company for many a Holiday celebration either at one of his daughter's homes, the Lodge or occasionally at my home. Alberto has always been a gentle soul to my wife and I as well as a respected competitor at Bocce. When the Overseas Lodge had their Annual Picnic at the Shriners ‘Park, in Warwick, Alberto always invited my wife and I to attend. I would bring my Bocce Set and Alberto would always join in along with family members. Even though Bocce wasn't played on a regulation court, I don't think that scoring was actually on Doc's mind, he just enjoyed playing along with all of us. Over the last several years, Alberto had asked if I wanted to join the Masons and I said yes, I think I would like that.. Eventually, thanks to him, I am proud to say that I'm now a Mason and my only regret is that Alberto wasn't able to see me pass to the degree of Master Mason. May he rest in peace, Yours, in Brotherhood, Edwin Bellamy, MM3o
