Professor Eke, as you were fondly called by members of my family, you related with me exactly like one would to a younger sister of the same parents. You were a model and epitome of the love of Christ to each member of my family and other people around you. From the first day we met on UC Davis campus, your words, ‘prayer and fasting' which later become your injunction at crucial times of glee or gloom, remain indelible in my heart. How I wish you could stay longer to enjoy your wonderful wife and children as well as the fruits of your kindness to humanity!
