Memorial

Doug was ever-curious about almost everything. He never outgrew learning and wondering about all things in the world, as many adults often do. His passions included art, music, books of all topics, wildlife, hiking, nature, travel, photography, woodworking, tinkering and cars--but this list seemed to grow all the time. Doug wanted to see and experience it all. Doug was a great listener and could make anyone feel like the center of the universe. He wasn't afraid of quiet lulls in conversation. These traits helped him develop deep relationships with those around him. He knew the world was far from perfect, but his approach to problems (question it, laugh about it, shake your head and move on) provided a great example to the rest of us. It's impossible to encapsulate his character. But some of his best qualities include persistence, independence, intelligence, and thoughtfulness. More information about services for Doug will follow later.

I was Doug's favorite sister, his only sister! I was always a Little Mother Hen over him. We were very close & talked several times a day: cell phone help, day to day activities, score updates on Phoenix Sun's & Arizona Cardinals or idle chit chat. This is hard going forward without him. We never argued. Rest in Peace Doug..I love you
