October 3rd, 1932 - August 11th, 2020
On Tuesday, August 11, 2020, Dorothy Perkins (Apte), loving mother of three children, passed away at the age of 87. Dotty was born on October 3, 1932 in Livermore Falls, ME to Wylie and Freda (Maxwell) Apte. She graduated from Kennett High School in Conway in 1952 and went on to work for the Telephone Company and Annalee Dolls until she retired.
Dottie was adventurous to say the least. She enjoyed skiing, flying, snowmobiling, racing drag cars, horseback riding, skydiving, but most of all riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle until she was 80. She spent most of her life in New Hampshire but did live in Fort Meyers, FL for 12 years before returning home.
Dottie is survived by her three children, Teresa, Carolyn and Mike as well as her Sister Virginia and brother Lee.

So sorry to hear of Dottie's passing. It was so uplifting to see the posts of Carolyn, Lenny and Dottie while Dottie so nobly fought the cruel debilitating disease of Alzhiemers, some people sadly pass with no one around..Dottie did not..her daughter was her angel. I remember Dottie as a tough fun loving woman whose main love, aside from family, were horses and animals. My hopes are that she has met up with Bunky and both are climbing into a Waco to forever carve through the clouds over Mt. Washington Valley...Rest in Peace Dottie ...you will be missed on earth but heartily welcomed in heaven.

Sounds like she lived a wonderful life. I always enjoyed seeing pictures of Carolyn and Lenny's visits with Dottie. I continue to hope and pray a cure is found for Alzheimer's.
