As most of us at Wildwood, we were the recipients of Doris's musical talents. Doris is greatly missed and our condolences go out to Don and family.

Don, Ben and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Doris was such a lovely person. I remember so many times when she would come up to me after church with gratitude in her heart for everything that happened at Wildwood. Her music was inspiring, whether it was piano playing, accompanying the singing with her violin or fiddling. I loved to hear her play! Her smile was so engaging. She will be sorely missed by all.

My condolences to you and your family Ben. I had the pleasure of working with Doris at the Vet College. She was always caring and kind and devoted to her family and faith. She spoke highly of you often, Ben. Coffee time was always entertaining with her stories and the giggles that went along with them.

We both have fond memories of Doris' music ministry at Wildwood. In particular, during John's early times as worship leader, I always appreciated her input on song and music selections. We both experienced her gift of music when she and Joan gave Helen a CD of music that they had recorded to help us through a difficult time. We will miss her. We pray for God's presence, strength and comfort for the family.

I recall some years ago serving on the church worship committee (I think) and asking Doris for her thoughts about recent worship services and her saying "I love everything about church!" She had a positive and encouraging attitude. Doris was such a supporter of the Wildwood Youth Group, always ready to praise any one who stepped up and let themselves share their gifts in front of the congregation. This excited her so much! She also had the same foot aliments that I had and would want to know how I was managing mine. We would share anything new that was potentially helpful. We will miss Doris and her encouraging words and musical talents. God be with her family in the days ahead as you remember, share memories, and grieve the loss of her earthly presence. God's peace and comfort be with you.

May the memories of Doris, soulmate to Don, Mother to Russ/family and Grand to Ben, comfort you as you grieve your loss! Doris was my classmate, had looked forward to connecting at our 60 year reunion, but not to be! If memory serves correctly, Doris was also a good ball player in those high school years! Sympathies!
