Doris LaJune Hissem

Doris LaJune Hissem, 65, of Walker, WV and formerly of Cairo, WV departed this life peacefully. She was surrounded by, and in the arms of her son and her loving family. Those who were blessed enough to know her knew she was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved being a Grammy to her granddaughter Gracie Ann. She enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds. She loved flowers and gardening. Most of all, she just loved being with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Rother, and her mother Juanita "June" Rother. She is survived by her son, Gary Hissem Jr. (Jackie) of Walker, WV, granddaughter, Gracie Hissem, two brothers, Donald Murphy (Alice) of Mineral Wells and Larry Murphy (Terry) of St. Marys, two sisters, Rebecca Carder of Cairo, WV and Pamela Forshey of Waverly, WV, and very special nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Jennifer Pinkerton, Lindsay Ray and Donna Ellyson for the wonderful and loving care they gave her and to our family. Per her wishes, there will be no services. A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley cremation Society.
