Doris Patricia Davis

Doris P. Davis, 76, of Harrisville, West Virginia, died on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Parkersburg Care Center. She was born on June 30, 1945 in Cornwallis, WV to John F. Griffith (Junior) and Irene (Ingram) Griffith. Doris was a 1963 graduate of Cairo High School. She attended a one room school house in Cornwallis until she attended high school. Doris worked in the garment industry in Ritchie County for over twenty-five years. Some of her favorite things were doing puzzle books, sitting on the porch, feeding the birds, and a hamburger from the Pizza House. Doris loved her many cats throughout the years. She was very proud of her Grandson's Josh and Cody. She always talked about them to friends, family, and strangers. She is survived by her daughter, Mellisa Kaplan and Son In-Law, Mike Kaplan of Ellenboro; Grandchildren, Joshua Kaplan (Shelby) of Pennsboro, and Cody Kaplan, of Ellenboro; one Great Grandchild, Reid, of Pennsboro; brother, Duane Griffith (Sue), of Ravenswood. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles Davis; parents, Junior and Irene; brother, Carl Richards; and sister, Diane Skidmore. In accordance with Doris's wishes, she will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society in Parkersburg, WV is assisting the family with the arrangements.
