I’m sorry to find out the passing of Don Widener. He’d been on my mind lately. Decided to look him up on the web. I remember his very pretty daughter, Annette, who worked at USDA for a while. I am now retired and enjoying it. Don Widener and I were co workers at the Department of Agriculture (USDA) during the 1980s to 1990s. Don was well respected throughout USDA’s Office of Financial Management. Always a gentleman. Some of us had nicknames for him —“Dapper Don” because he always wore nice clothes and was well put together. And we’d also call him “Dandy” because of his sharp demeanor and dressing style. Rest In Peace Don.
