Donald Richard Dee, Jr
December 15th, 1955 - October 12th, 2023
December 15th, 1955 - October 12th, 2023
Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear.
We are sad to announce the passing of Donald "Don" Dee Jr., 69. He was born in Topeka, KS to Donald Dee Sr. and Velma "Connie" Dee on Dec. 15, 1955. He passed away peacefully in his sleep Oct. 12, 2023. He leaves behind his wife, Valerie Dee, son Donnie Dee III (Becky), and his daughter Jenny Dee (Chris) and his 6 grandchildren and one bonus grandchild, by marriage, all of whom, he loved very much.
Don married his high school sweetheart in 1974 and had 49 wonderful years together. They were a family always on the go and usually with more than just their own kids. They always were up to take any of the neighborhood kids camping and fishing or generally anywhere they were going.
Don loved hunting and fishing and was always up to giving "lessons," as he called it, which always meant out- fishing whoever he brought. He lived in Garden Valley, Idaho from 1994 to 2023 and never met someone he didn't like. He always was there to lend a helping hand for anyone in the community. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandpa. He was always the practical joker and never passed up the opportunity when it would arise.
Don will be missed by all who knew him. We are all better for having him in our lives. We will be spreading his ashes near McCall in July 2024. If you would like to join please check on the events for more information.

Don loved to surf. Surfing was a passion for him. I remember one time at Blacks Beach (late 70's) when he got tubed on a perfect wave. He was so stoked. He was grinning from ear to ear. That's how I'll always remember Don Dee.
