It meant so much for Pastor Bird to be part of our wedding. He was one of a kind and we will miss him so much. You are all in our prayers.

Our family (the Kehr's) have know the Birds for over 50 years. My dad was the pastor at Sublette, and D.L. was a close friend in the youth group with my brothers (Jim and Gary). Many laughs about the "boys" trying to play a special for church, someone messing up, and the group dissolving into laughter right there on the platform. My path crossed again with Don and Sheila when Sheila and I started the MBA program at MNU on the same day. We became fast friends, presentation partners, and accountability partners. Love this family!!

Father Daughter Dance -- In my daughter's eyes I am a hero I am strong and wise And I know no fear But the truth is plain to see She was sent to rescue me I see who I want to be In my daughter's eyes In my daughter's eyes Everyone is equal Darkness turns to light And the world is at peace This miracle God gave to me Gives me strength when I am weak I find reason to believe In my daughter's eyes And when she wraps her hand around my finger How it puts a smile in my heart Everything becomes a little clearer I realize what life is all about It's hanging on when your heart is had enough It's giving more when you feel like giving up I've seen the light It's in my daughter's eyes In my daughter's eyes I can see the future A reflection of who I am and what will be And though she'll grow and someday leave Maybe raise a family When I'm gone I hope you'll see How happy she made me For I'll be there In my daughter's eyes

I will not see you in the halls with your big smile, always greeting me and saying that how are your two favorite people to Eve and me, now, who is going to tell me that my sauce is very spicy but that you are going to eat more? I'm going to miss you a lot, I remember you were always asking me how Eve is behaving because you cared for us, thanks for everything, for your love, for your love for Hispanics and how you enjoyed eating the two congregations together, thanks for getting married, thanks for all. What would I say for greeting you last Sunday and giving you a hug

You would think I would have more pictures since he was at our house all the time, but this one is the best. He just pronounced us married, then said our name wrong. It was just so funny! He had a great sense of humor ❤️
