Donald Gene Anderson, 73, of Beverly, Ohio passed away peacefully in his home on May 7, 2024. On June 8, 1950 he was born to Ralph and Edna (Powell) Anderson in Zanesville, Ohio. Donald dedicated his life to and is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, Susan (McCoy) Anderson, and their three children. He was an avid sports fan and attended every ballgame, every match, meet, and race, that he possibly could for his children and grandchildren throughout the years.   He proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, with his most rewarding assignment being an integral part of the Minute Man missile program at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. Following his service to his country Donald devoted over 36 years of service to AEP Muskingum River Plant as an ICE Tech.   Donald will be deeply missed by his wife, one son, Steven (Karen) Anderson of Vincent, OH. Two daughters, Julie Anderson of Dayton, OH, and Amy (Ryan) Camp of Lowell, OH. One brother, Francis Anderson of Caldwell, OH, many nieces and nephews. Five grandchildren that held a special place in his heart, Marissa (Travis) Shawcroft, Alexander (Elizabeth) Melem, Devon Anderson, Dylan Anderson, and Antony Melem. As well as his faithful garage companion, his husky Zalah.   At his request, a small family gathering will be held at a later date.   A private cremation will take place at Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.   We welcome friends and family to leave us fond and favorite memories of how Don has touched your lives.

Don was one of the very best I have ever worked with at Muskingum River Plant. Always a dedicated and reliable coworker. He will never be forgotten as long as those who knew him live on. Rest in peace, Donnie! Friends and Family you have my deepest sympathy.
