Mementos

On March 10th, 2020 we lost Dominique Roth to a senseless act of violence. In some ways, we can't believe how much time has gone bye. A lot has happened and with everything moving so fast with the COVID outbreak, in other ways it feels like ages ago. Many of us have not had the time to reflect or celebrate Dominique's life. Due to Social Isolation, we had to cancel the candlelight vigil, and her funeral was for immediate family members. Since we can't get together to share stories, please use this space to take the time to share how she has impacted your life. Post fun stories, words of encouragement, or upload a picture. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. ~ Author Unknown

For those of us who have had the privilege of working with Dominique… she is one of the most dedicated, compassionate, driven and responsible people I have known. I watched her be so successful in her time with us in Ortho... from our 1st new PSR at West Allis to one of our highest performing Surgery Schedulers … then move on into Sinai's Women's Health Clinic - where I know she found so much joy in supporting her team and providers. Throughout these years, I've been able to continue working with her in various and I have been so grateful for every extra moment. For those of us lucky enough to have known her as a friend… Dominique is a soul filled with sunlight. She is warm, brilliant, witty and above all else… kind. In this time of sorrow and darkness… She would want all of us to hold our loved ones tighter, live our lives a little brighter, and to remember her with joy. I will miss my friend every day. And I take comfort knowing that her light shines on and within all of us, any of us with the privilege to have known her. - Jen Virnig

Dominique always made sure the Psr's had a task or a goal. I tried at times to get out of an assignment. I would say it was too much, or I didnt think I was capable. The word no was never included with any task she gave you. Dominque saw the potential that each of us had and,in her own way, pushed us toward it. And when we reached a goal, you saw the joy in her in her whole being. Dominique was our glue and it feels like we are coming apart at the seams. But, we are a resilient team, and we all will get through this. My condolences to her family. Dominique will be missed. Gone too soon, will never be forgotten.

Dominique had a unique spirit and energy about her. She always had a smile on her face, and her optimism and cheerfulness was contagious. She will be missed dearly, and her spirit will live on in all of us.
