For many years we had Halloween parties at my house. Everyone really went all out with their costumes. This is one of my favorites of Delores' costumes.

Delores was my friend for 45 years and was always a bright, warm light in my life. I got her view and humor and she seemed to get mine (which may not be a compliment). My daughters and son-in-law loved her like family and she was a delightful part of the big English Countryside wedding. She was honest and attuned and we did very little small talk. Whenever we would get together, it felt like the last time had been just yesterday. I think of her fondly and I’m not done feeling sad yet. I trust Steven, Nathan and Sam will carry her light forward. Love, Brian Rooney

It’s hard to believe Delores is gone. I last saw her at one of Ryan’s gigs in Glen Ellyn. I wish I had been able to say a proper goodbye. She was an honorary member of our family since I was a teenager. She was so caring and fun loving and she always brought the best desserts. I will miss her dearly.

Delores with my son, Ryan, at Buddy Guy's in Chicago. Delores loved the blues and Ryan and his blues band played at Buddy's in a Chicago Blues Fest finalist competition. She was always a #1 fan of Ryan's.
