Delilah Belle Shines Brightly On Us - Can You Feel It?
Delilah Belle Nelson was born on August 6, 2005, and passed away on August 9, 2026, three days after we celebrated her 21st birthday with vibrance. Her sudden passing is a shock for us as she was moving forward into her sobriety after years of struggling with addiction; her calendar was filling up and her days planned. She has had recent accomplishments and milestones; got a job that she loved and they loved her, was about to sign a lease for her first apartment down the hall from her friend and start school at MCTC for their welding program. She just found someone that she loved and loved her deeply. She experienced unconditional love and was her happiest and most proud.
Delilah was a brave, strong and compassionate person and we get to receive this big flame into our hearts and lives now. Please accept and feel her big love and shining light burning alongside you.
She quickly entered into your sphere to take the ride with you. Right then and there.
We are full of gratitude and moved by the support and love that we are receiving and have no words for this. Thank you all for all of it. We are resting in Delilah’s strength, beautiful spirit and her love for the real and raw moments.
Delilah is survived by her loving family: parents, Sara Hanson and Eric Nelson; grandmothers, Bella Hanson and Penny Nelson; and all of her many friends. Please share your stories, memories and photos here as we continue to create a living tribute of Delilah.

Thank you to all that celebrated Delilah on Saturday at the service, Pizza Maya and all that were at home watching the service on Zoom and/or sending love, energy, light and prayers. Eric and I will continue to have bursting gratitude for all of the faces, open hearts and love that was brought to, shared and expressed on this day. I wish for you all (any bit of knowing Delilah directly or indirectly) to have experienced her beautiful love that day and a graceful beginning to this journey of grief and sadness for her not being here with us. We love you and are in awe of you, friends. Thank you, Sara and Eric
