Dear, Dear Dayton, Your fun loving heart and spirit will always be missed by so many of your friends! Sailing aboard the Zaca from Newport up to Maine and back was such a lovely and unforgettable adventure! So many thanks for all the wonderful fun filled times. Love and hugs forever, Candyce

When I read about Dayton's death, I cried. He called me early this year and asked me if I was OK and if I needed anything. I did not think to ask him how he really was. I said maybe I would see him this summer. He is a deep connection from his parents friendship with my parents in Kentfield years ago, to our meeting in NYC. I would come up by train from DC when I was at Georgetown Law. He was to young and I am so sad. What a loss. I miss him.

Dayton, I think of you often. You are missed and never will be forgotten. Know you are in our hearts. Smooth sailing, my friend! Everything I pass by Hammersmith you come to mind.

Dayton, Our brief interlude of friendship was no less impactful than any longer. You were as lively and generous as you were honest and forthright. May the winds of heaven fill your sails and laughter swell your cheeks as you travel forth on your greatest adventure. God speed.

In Your Remembrance, one moth after your passing, I share a piece of scripture meaningful to you. Psalms 71:1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 15, 17 In you, Yahweh, I take refuge, I shall never be put to shame. In your saving justice rescue me, deliver me, listen to me and save me. Be a sheltering rock for me, always accessible; you have determined to save me, for you are my rock, my fortress. My God, rescue me from the clutches of the wicked, from the grasp of the rogue and the ruthless. For you are my hope, Lord, my trust, Yahweh, since boyhood. On you I have relied since my birth, since my mother's womb you have been my portion, the constant theme of my praise. My lips shall proclaim your saving justice, your saving power all day long. God, you have taught me from boyhood, and I am still proclaiming your marvels.
