David (Dave as most everyone called him) was born in the summer of 1958 in Napa Valley where he would spend over 40 years working as a Cellar Master in the wine industry. Dave had many passions and was far from idle always working on a project, and even when he was sitting his hands and feet always tapping to beat he was in a constant state of rhythm and motion. He loved to be outdoors hiking, fishing, biking, camping just anything that allowed him to spend time in nature. He also loved live music, treasure hunting (antique shopping and cruising garage sales), wrenching on cars mostly in his younger years, golfing, trying out new breweries, volunteering as an aircraft preservationist at Travis Air Force Base and binge watching The Big Bang Theory. More then anything he was a genuine whole hearted family man. He was a dedicated and loving husband to his wife Jackie an amazing father to his children Whitney and Jordan, and stepdad to Julie and Nick, and the best papa to his grandkids Tristan, Elaine, Caden, Makayla, and Maverick. He was an adoring and caring son to his mom Janet, and supportive brother to his sister Patty and brother Rick. We lost Dave on December 7th (Pearl Harbor Day) after a grueling battle with cancer. We find this day to be particularly fitting as he was always a hero in our family. He will be deeply missed.

Dave became the Cellar Master at Gun Bun when I worked there in Production. As a young cellar worker, I was able to learn so much from him, and about machines and life. He made work fun, and loved to quiz us on classic rock music. I always think of him whenever I hear a song by Boston. He was patient and hardworking and generous with his knowledge. My car broke down one day coming home from work, and he came by and diagnosed it and got it running. He was a sweet soul. I'm sad his story ended so soon. Much love to his family!

David came into my life over 40 years ago as being the brother of one of my sister-in-laws. Over the years his sister Diana and i became best friends so I would see him at birthdays, weddings, family gatherings. He was kind, funny and just a good person. He always was very nice to me and over the years became extended family. He was a bright light for Diana because they were very close. He will always be in my heart and another one that left this Earth too soon.

I remember as a teenager riding with Dave in his station wagon and coming to a stop light and doing a Chinese fire drill. Man the fun we had!

I have so many memories with Uncle Dave. My all time favorite is his Donald Duck impersonations that he would do. I always remember asking him to speak that way when I was kid and even when I visited for Julie’s wedding, he gifted me with the childhood memory once again. He had the kindest heart and was such a support to everyone he met. He will be deeply missed. We love you all dearly and pray you receive God’s support and comfort as the days continue on. With all our Love!
