In Loving Memory of David Wilfong
David Wilfong, age 67, of Torch, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on February 4, 2025, with his loving wife and children by his side. Diagnosed with cancer only recently, he departed this life swiftly but left behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Born on January 19, 1958 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Dave had a talent for finding hidden potential in all things. Whether it was an old car, a piece of real estate, a house, or a forgotten treasure, he loved the challenge of buying, fixing up, and selling things. He also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, finding peace and joy in nature.
David was a 1976 graduate of Federal-Hocking High School, and retired from Nova Chemicals in Belpre, Ohio.
Above all, he cherished time spent with his beloved wife, Beverly, and his loyal dog, Pippen. Their companionship was the heart of his life, and he found happiness in the simple moments they shared together. He also loved visiting with his children and grandchildren, and wanted so much to see who they would become.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Delores (Sams) Wilfong.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his son, Matthew, and his wife Elizabeth Wilfong, and their children, Elliott and Charlotte; his daughter, Kippie, and her husband Joseph Jonas, and their children, Macallister and Emery.
In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his siblings, Robert and his wife Margie Wilfong, Vicki and her husband Dennis Whealdon, Diane Chapman, Leonard Wilfong, Alda and her husband Wayne Lowe, Eileen Wilfong and multiple nieces and nephews.
Recently, he discovered a new branch of his family tree, including a previously unknown half-sister, Patricia Yazombek, which brought him clarity, closure, and peace.
Per his wishes, he was cremated, and his family will gather at a later date to honor his memory. In the meantime, they encourage those who knew him to celebrate his life in their own way, whether by taking on a new project, enjoying the outdoors, or reflecting on the good times shared.
He will be lovingly remembered and forever in our hearts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.

I wish I had the words to truly express the sadness I feel in my heart for you, Bev and family. You two were a match made in heaven from day one back in high school. He will be so missed by so many including my brother, Doug. Sending many prayers for peace and understanding during your time of loss. Sending a big hug your way too. Take care. Josie (Shields) Evans

My sincere condolences to the entire family of David Wilfong. As David's uncle I know his family quite well. Because we live in different parts of the country we were not able to see each other very often, but when our families got together David and Bev were always there. We enjoyed each others company and our conversations were quite lively. I'm saddened by David early departure from us, but I pray for him to RIP.
