My Deepest heartfelt condolences go out to the Chavez Family. Dave was an awesome person. I had the honor and privilege serving with Dave in the Guard. I last saw and talked with Dave about two years ago. Dave was one of the few ranking individuals who actually cared about us,the lower ranked, which was unusual for the unit. They say that it's not what you take with you when you leave this world, it's what you leave behind you when you go that counts. Dave left his mark in this world. I will forever be grateful to Dave, for everything he helped with and all he did for me. Sarge, "ATTENTION!PRESENT ARMS!(SALUTE)......ORDER ARMS!PARADE REST! STAND AT EASE! REST!" rest now and forever in the arms of the Lord, may he bring comfort and support to your family. Sorry Iwas unable to attend the services. May God Bless them and help them always. May God Bless you always "Sarge". Dave, my friend, thank you, again.
