David Patrick Obot-Oruk, Mr.

Mr. David Patrick Obot-Oruk, born on 1st August 1951, was a son to Jago Stephen Oruk of Okii-Raki Okwero Ocobo Clan and Imat Zerida Amuge-Oruk of Bako Olang Clan from Amwoma, Dokolo District. His second mother was Imat Alice Adonya-Oruk of Atek Okwer Awele Clan from Agwiciri, Inomo, Kwania District.

David Patrick Obot was the 6th of the 10 children born of Imat Zerida, and one of the 17 children from his father, 10 of whom are alive: Julius Peter Ocom, Charles Ogwang, Loy Obonyo, Tamali Okao, Florence Orem, Gertrude Akello Obot, Acen Babra Odong, Ketty Adul Obel, Aol Semmy Edadu, and Oruk Patrick George.

David Patrick Obot was married to Imat Mary Tumusiime-Obot from Omwitira Clan from Rukungiri District; and Imat Janet Akello-Obot from Inomo Clan of Lango, Dokolo District.

Mr. Obot is survived by a multitude of over 100 children, 13 of whom are his biological children (9 girls, 4 boys). David is survived by 20 grandchildren.

While everything was done to save his life, David Patrick Obot returned to his Creator on the night of 2nd June 2023 at Lira Medical Centre, Lira City.
