Everything that rises afterward falls
But all that dies has first to live
As longing becomes love
As night turns to day
Everything changes
Joy will find a way
-Bruce Cockburn
Brad lived his life as a quiet, steady presence. He wasn't the lead singer; he was the bass player — demanding little attention but creating a comforting consistency to the music. He had a quirky and sarcastic sense of humor. A poetic way of describing things. Many were drawn to him because he was unassuming, open-minded, approachable, and always undeniably himself.
We were all lucky to have known his gentle soul, and we are heartbroken trying to say goodbye. We will find our way back to joy by sharing memories of the things that made Brad so special.
Please share on the "Tributes" board below a memory, song, joke, photo, message — whatever you are moved to share — so we can all keep Brad in our hearts. You can also click on the "Mementos" tab at the top of this page to view photos of Brad throughout his life.

Best Brother Ever!

Brad was my father in law. I always appreciated his calm and consistent demeanor. He exuded the mantra “don’t sweat the small things.” I will never forget his dry wit and perfectly timed one-liners that lightened the mood. As a father, he provided an example to follow and a bond I look up to. Rest in peace, Brad. You will be forever in our hearts.

Brad was my cousin. I'm sorry I didn't get to know him better, but our lives took different paths. This photo was taken in the early '60s at our grandparents. The cousins!
