First and foremost, I would like to thank "each and every one" of you for your support and prayers for our family over the past very difficult days. It means a lot to me and my family to know how much David has "touched" so many lives. To sum up what David meant to me in a few short paragraphs is impossible. I have been so overwhelmed with emotions. My brother-in-law, David, was one of those once-in-a-lifetime people some of us are lucky enough to get to know. Anyone who knew David knew how much he loved his family, his Little Red Corvette, his Raiders and Lakers and his crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed watching Jeopardy. He worked hard to provide for his family. He was such a selfless person. He was a beautiful person inside and out. Our family is so incredibly grateful and blessed to have shared this precious life on earth with him. David was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a Disabled American Vet. He was drafted at the age of 18 to the Infantry Division of the US Army on July 20, 1967. He was wounded at the Republic of Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. David was honorably discharged from the Army. David began working for the State of New Mexico at Department of Transportation, I remember when it would snow they would call our house and we would have to walk to David and Maries and let him know that he was needed at work for snow removal. We had an inside joke with him and we would knock on the door and tell him they called you Moya and he knew exactly what that meant. For the next 26 years he worked in the Security Division of the Los Alamos Labs. And then finally returning to work for the State as a Budget Analyst where he finally retired. He was a member of the Santa Cruz Catholic Church., Knights of Columbus, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 372, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion, the La Puebla Volunteer Fire Department, the La Puebla Ditch Commission, the La Puebla Community Assoc

I'm so sorry for your loss. There is nothing that can prepare a person for the feelings of losing a family member. The Bible describes Jehovah as a God of all comfort, at 2 Corinthians chapter 1 and verses 3-4. One scripture that has brought so many people comfort is Revlation chapter 21 and verses 3-5 because that describes a promise from God that is specifically touching to anyone who has experienced the pain of losing someone. Again, my deepest sympathies for your loss.

Oh Marie, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your David. You both were always so nice to me and had a kind word and a happy smile each time we'd see each other. Marie, you are not alone, even though it seems that way now. I am here should you ever need anything.

Dear Marie and family, I was saddened to hear of David's death. I know this must be so hard for you. I pray that our Lord Jesus Christ will give you comfort during this trying time. God bless all of you. Marilyn Reeves
