David Lee Bullard

August 21, 1981 – July 6, 2026

David Lee Bullard, 44, of Portage, Michigan, passed away on July 6, 2026.

David was born on August 21, 1981, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was a devoted father, loving fiancée, cherished son, and loyal friend to many.

David was preceded in death by his great grandfather Willis Draper, and his grandmother Linda Keyzer.

He is survived by his longtime life partner and best friend, Christine Edwards; his six children, Kayla, William, Madison, Laken, Lyric, and Logan; his four grandchildren; his mother, Debi Snow (Devoted step father Mike Dougherty); his father, Anthony Bullard, sister Crystal Clearwaters, brother Chad Clearwaters, grandfather Tony Dobozy and many beloved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

David and his fiancée proudly operated an in-home daycare together, where he quickly became one of the favorites among the little ones. His playful spirit, gentle nature, and ability to make every child feel special brought smiles and laughter to each day. Caring for children wasn't just something he did—it was something he genuinely loved, and the families whose lives he touched will always remember his kindness and patience.

David found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.

David had a contagious sense of humor and a gift for making everyone laugh. Whether he was around a campfire, spending time with family, caring for the children in the daycare, or cheering on his favorite teams, his joyful spirit and warm smile brightened every room.

As a devoted sports fan, he proudly supported the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and the Miami Heat, and he was rarely seen without wearing gear representing one of his favorite teams.

David will be remembered for his love of family, his compassionate heart, and the happiness he brought to everyone around him—especially the children who adored him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
