Dave Solheim

David Bruce Solheim was born November 21, 1943 in Northfield, Minnesota to Oscar Solheim and Helen (Johnson) Solheim who preceded him in death. The middle of three children, Dave grew up in Dennison, Minnesota with older brother Gerald (Jerry) Solheim, and younger sister Carol Auge.

Dave graduated from Northfield High School in 1960, and attended St. Olaf College where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Accounting in 1964. He served 4 years in the US Air Force from 1964-1968.

In 1976, Dave married Kathleen McKay (Dally) and became a dad to Mark McKay and Gina McKay. Dave and Kathleen divorced in 1981, but they remained good friends, and he continued to spend time with Mark and Gina throughout his life.

In 1986, Dave married Kathy Wehmeyer, and became a dad to Mona Weyhmeyer and Dawn Wehmeyer. Dave and Kathy lived in Bloomington for many years before settling in Silver Lake, Minnesota.

Dave was very involved in his church, enjoyed reading, playing golf, and spending time with his thirteen grandchildren and great grandchildren.
