I will miss you. I was hoping to see you in Jan but unfortunately that’s no longer possible. Yourself and Aunty Rita always made Taj, Tyler and I feel part of the family even though we are on the other side of the globe. You will be always in our thoughts. You are always there to lend a hand, a caring and loving family man. Xxx

Dear Dave, such a loss to all who knew and loved him. An amiable, warm, welcoming and all round good bloke, sadly taken suddenly and way too soon. Our sincere sympathies and thoughts are with Rita and all of Dave’s family and friends.

Uncle David you were a rarity, a true gentleman and a one in a million Uncle. We couldn’t have wished for better. You were always there for everyone and we will never forget your smile and you always made us laugh with the endless issues you seemed to have with your mobile phone!! The memories we have will be forever treasured. You really were taken far too soon and suddenly, our hearts are broken but god only takes the best and that he has with you. I’m sure Nan has already rustled up one of her special roast beef dinners and all the trimmings along with her famous treacle sponges for you. Rest in peace and it’s not goodbye just goodnight and sweet dreams. All our love always Becky, Dave, Xanthe, Nancy & Phoebe xxxxx

You can count the number of friends on one hand who would drop everything to help, if you were in trouble. Dave was there.

Dave: a devoted family man and our friend and wonderful next door neighbour for well over 35 years. I shall miss hearing him busy in his workshop and I can still picture him with his beloved wife Rita, always hand in hand and going on their daily walk with Sandy. He was a man of innate kindness. I must speak for Mike as well as myself when I say: Dave, it's been our privilege to have known you.
