Danny K Bannon passed away at his home in New Port Richey,FL On June 14, 2020. The youngest of six children born to Claude Bannon and Opal Smith. He is survived by one sister Arlene King of Jacksonville FL. Also, three children: Matthew Bannon, Carmen(Matthew) Spencer, and Tracy( Robert) Wilson all in Florida. Five granddaughters: Shauna and Kayla Bannon, Candace and Cassandra Hofmann, and Cristen Sakow along with three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In the early 60s, Danny moved to California and start a family with his wife of 24 years, Lydia Venable, who became the mother of his three children. Danny had a good job working for MGM and universal studios. In 1971 though, after experiencing a major earthquake, Danny relocated his family to the small rural town of Filer, Idaho. Here they spent the next seven years until finally moving to St.Petersburg,FL in 1978 where they were reunited with lifelong friend Jean Keiderling. Now in Florida, Danny provided for his family by working on and maintaining commercial machinery and air-conditioning equipment. In 1981 Danny welcomed his niece Dawn into the family as a daughter. He met his second wife Brenda Torgerson and they were later married in 1997. In 2004, they were excited to buy their New Port Richey property where they enjoyed living until Brenda's passing away August 29, 2016. Now alone with lots of time on his hands, Danny picked back up some cherished hobbies including fixing things, motorcycling, trips to visit family, and boating. Danny was a good friend to many and he himself had many loyal friends like Roy who stuck by him through the years. Danny will be remembered as a man who took care of his responsibilities in life, ever ready to help others in need. He was especially grateful for what he had, and rarely if ever complained about anything. Having battled heart problems and reoccurring cancer for many years,  Danny fought a courageous fight seeking out treatment and whatever was necessary to continue enjoying the life he loved so much. His children express sincere appreciation for all the love and support shown by family, friends, doctors, and medical teams these past few years. He will be greatly missed by all of us.
